France is closed today

I had a head cold yesterday, so just hung out at home. Today I'm ready to go; however, today is Sunday and France is closed! It's closed Sunday and everyday between 12 noon and 2pm. Even Ikea is closed today. Hours do vary from place to place, but it seems to be the general state of affairs. Love it or hate it, it's such a big difference from the United States and really sets the rhythm of life here.

Now that we’re getting settled in the neighborhood, we’re making some important decisions. Where do we buy our croissants and daily baguette? There at least 5 boulangeries in a 2 block radius of our place, so a lot of testing is necessary here. We think we’ve found a winner, pictured below. One type of place always open Sundays is the boulangerie!
